Enrolment into Baulkham Hills High School

Baulkham Hills High School is a fully Selective High School and entry for Year 7 is based on the results of the Selective Schools Test conducted in March each year. All Year 6 students are invited to sit for the test at any of 130 centres located around the State. Applications to sit for the test are available from late October when the student is in Year 5. Results are assessed by the Selective Schools Unit and applicants receive notification of outcomes by mail from the Department of Education and Training. The school has no role in this selection process and cannot alter the outcome for any reason. Please refer all enquiries to the Selective Schools Unit or check the DET website.

For enrolment into Years 8-12, entry is based solely on merit and no examination is required. Application forms are available at the school around mid June each year or they can be downloaded from the link below.

They must be accompanied by a copy of the student's latest Half Yearly academic report, Yearly academic report and NAPLAN results from Years 7 & 9. If applicable, copies of documents highlighting excellence in extra curricular activities in areas such as Sport, Competitions, Community Services or the Arts may also be included. Applications must be accompanied by a cheque for $40 to cover administration costs.

A selection panel will consider all applications and the successful candidates are notified by mail at the end of September each year. Information about outcomes will not be available to applicants over the telephone.

It should be noted that often there are NO vacancies in Years 8, 9 , 10 and 12 and successful candidates may be placed on a reserve list.

Please note: No applications will be accepted via fax or email.

The school will not be holding an open day this year.  Please see the rest of our website for more information about the school.
